Autocratic Boss or Simply A Shouty Dictator In Heels

There are various recognised styles of leadership within the business community, especially in the UK.  These can safely be thought of as autocratic – so this would generally mean a leader who makes his or her own choices without reference or consideration of colleagues’ wishes or ideas.   Their judgments are solely their own and no account is given to others in the group.   Absolute authoritarianism can be dismissed by colleagues who feel left out as just bossiness for the sake of it.  Others accept an autocratic boss cannot stand fools or lesser mortals around them but are willing to share the spoils of success.    However, these leaders are not capable of showing any empathy towards team members who are slower or are going through a life crisis and will very often show this irritation tothe extent that the team member feels threatened and that casn lead toa  whole new raft of problems for the boss.

There is one very well known celebrity who has recently been drubbed in the press because of her unfortunate mismanagement of staff when she was part of the most famous family & institution in the world for a very short period.  She was found to be screaming at staff, stomping around in stilletto heels and not understanding the way to handle staff.  In a very short amount of time she was reported in the press as having hounded out more than a dozen employees from her tiny little world.  Not a good look for any one.
